カナダ連邦騎馬警察（RCMP）の音楽隊である、パイプ・ドラム・ダンス隊（首都担当）は、2000年春に結成され、「マウンティ」の愛称で知られるRCMPの世界的に有名な赤の制服と独特のタータンを身にまとっています。現在、パイプ隊のリーダー、グレイエム・オグルビー氏とドラム隊のリーダー、ブラッド・ハンプソンの指揮のもとで活動をしています。ハイランド・ダンス隊は、ケルシー・スチュワートの指揮のもとで活動しています。パイプ隊とドラム隊は、主に市民ボランティアで構成されていますが、警察官と警察職員も加わり、活動は首都担当司令官の全面的な支持を得ています。RCMPの音楽隊は、首都オタワを拠点とするこの隊の他にも、ハリファックス、モンクトン、モントリオール、ウィニペグ、レジャイナ、エドモントン、バンクーバーといった７都市を拠点としているものがあります。

　パイプ・ドラム・ダンス隊は、チャリティーの募金活動、博覧会、祭り、パレード、スポーツ・文化の授賞式などで定期的に公演し、地域や地元コミュニティの活動を支援しています。また、パイプ隊とドラム隊は、公務の一環として、国の公式行事で演奏したり、RCMPの儀式に関連した演奏もしています。また、王立エジンバラ軍楽祭（スコットランド）、ウィンザー城王立軍楽祭（イギリス）、上海観光祭（中国）、オランダ解放記念式典（オランダ）など大イベントに出演したほか、アメリカでも数多く演奏しており、海外経験が豊富です。

The Royal Canadian Mounted Police (RCMP) Pipes, Drums and Dancers of National Division were formed in the spring of 2000. Wearing the very distinctive RCMP tartan and the world-renowned red serge of the RCMP (the Mounties), the band is currently under the direction of Pipe Major Graeme Ogilvie and Drum Major Brad Hampson. The Highland Dance Team is under the direction of Kelsey Stewart. The RCMP Pipes and Drums are comprised primarily of citizen volunteers as well as police officers and employees of the force. The Band operates with the full support of the Commanding Officer of National Division (which is the National Capital Region). It is one of eight RCMP pipe bands located across Canada, including Halifax, Moncton, Montreal, Ottawa, Winnipeg, Regina, Edmonton and Vancouver.

The RCMP Pipes, Drums and Dancers perform regularly for the public in support of regional and local community endeavours including charity fundraisers, fairs, festivals, parades, sport and cultural awards ceremonies. As part of their official duties, the RCMP Pipes and Drums also perform for state and official occasions, and associated RCMP ceremonial functions. The pipe band also has significant international experience, including major events such as the Royal Edinburgh Military Tattoo (Scotland), the Windsor Castle Royal Tattoo (England), the Shanghai Tourism Festival (China), Liberation of Netherland Ceremonies (Holland) and many events throughout the United States of America.
