広島県警察音楽隊は、昭和25年に県民の皆様と警察を結ぶ『音の架け橋』として発足し、令和5年度からは「ザ・メイプルウインズ」という愛称でも親しまれています。

　県内各地において警察署等と連携し、交通安全や防犯などの警察広報をはじめ、諸行事における演奏活動でミュージックパトロールを行っています。

　当隊は、警察官とカラーガードで構成され、演奏・演技を用いた警察広報活動に従事しており、警察官はその傍ら、兼務所属での警察活動のほか、広島平和記念式典の警備などの集団警察活動に従事することもあります。

　当隊のレパートリーはポップスからクラシックまで幅広く、演奏スタイルは、「座奏」、「カラーガード演技」、「ドリル演奏」、「パレード演奏」があり、中でもお家芸ともいえるドリル演奏は、迫力のある演奏に加え、カラーガードがフラッグ演技やポンポン演技、ダンス等で演奏に華を添え、各地で好評をいただいています。

The Hiroshima Prefectural Police Band has been performing as a "bridge of music," connecting the residents of the prefecture and the police, since its founding in 1950. The band goes by its nickname "The Maple Winds," given in 2023.

The band cooperates with police stations and various organizations throughout the prefecture to publicize traffic safety and crime prevention events, as well as other events, as part of the so called "music patrols."

The band is composed of police officers and color guards, and is engaged in public relations through musical performances. The officers also see action in group police activities, such as the security for the annual Hiroshima Peace Memorial Ceremony.

The group's repertoire ranges from pop to classical music, and performing styles can also vary; on stage, drill or parade style, with or without the color guard. The drill performance is our specialty, well-received all over, with the combination of powerful music and the color guard's flag, pompom and dance acts.
