兵庫県警察音楽隊は､県民の皆さんと警察とを結ぶ「音のかけ橋」として、昭和26年に発足しました。

　楽長以下全員が警察官で構成されており、自主企画の演奏会をはじめ暴力団追放大会や交通安全運動への参加、また特殊詐欺被害防止啓発ソングを制作するなど兵庫県が『安全で安心な街』となるように願いを込めて、活発なミュージックパトロールを展開しています。

　またカラーガード隊には、兵庫県警察（Hyogo Prefectural Police）の頭文字とHop（ぴょんと跳ねる）にSmileのSを組み合わせた「Hopps（ホップス）」という愛称があります。

The Hyogo Prefectural Police Band was inaugurated in 1951 as a "bridge of music" between the people of Hyogo Prefecture and the police.

The members are all police officers, including the band leader, and it is actively engaged in "music patrols" to make the prefecture safe and secure. Activities include self-organized concerts plus participation in anti-gang rallies and traffic safety campaigns. They have also produced a public awareness song to prevent so-called special fraud.

They nicknamed the color guard "Hopps," merging the initials of Hyogo Prefectural Police with the word “Hop” and adding the letter S from "smile."
