茨城県警察音楽隊は、音楽隊とカラー・ガード隊で編成されています。

　1962年４月に音楽隊が創設され、各種警察活動をはじめとした公的行事、学校での演奏により、県民の交通安全、地域安全などに関する啓発活動を幅広く行ってまいりました。

　1980年からは茨城県警察カラー・ガード隊が設置され、女性隊員による機敏な旗の操作や華麗なダンス演技は、広く県民に親しまれています。

　隊員は、警察本部や警察署で勤務するかたわら訓練を重ね、県民と警察を結ぶ「音の架け橋」として演奏活動を行っております。

　クラシック音楽から最近のヒット曲までジャンルにとらわれないレパートリーの充実に努め、県民の皆様から親しまれる音楽隊を目指して活動しております。

The Ibaraki Prefectural Police Band is composed of an ensemble and a color guard squad. Since its establishment in April 1962, the ensemble has performed at various police activities, official events and schools to raise awareness about traffic and community safety among the citizens of the prefecture.

In 1980, the Ibaraki Prefectural Police Color Guard was formed, and the female members' agile flag moves and spectacular dance performances have been widely enjoyed by citizens.

All band members are employed at the headquarters or police stations, and train between work. The band aims to become a "bridge of music between the police and the residents of the prefecture."

The band strives to enrich its repertoire, which ranges from classical music to recent hit songs, regardless of genre, to become a music corps that is well known and loved by the community.
