熊本県警察音楽隊は、昭和27年11月に発足し、県民と警察を結ぶ「音のかけ橋」として演奏活動を行っています。

　隊員は、警察本部や警察署に勤務しながら、演奏活動や訓練に取り組んでおり、カラーガード「カラーリリーズ」もパレードやフラッグ演技に活躍し、「見る音楽」として好評をいただいています。

　音楽隊の活動は、年1回、熊本県立劇場で開催される定期演奏会「県民ふれあいコンサート」のほか、各種警察行事や、学校・幼稚園及び保育園等で実施される地域・交通安全活動等の啓発活動でのコンサート、県・市町村や地域の各種イベントにおいて演奏を行っています。

　また、平成28年熊本地震や令和2年7月豪雨の際は、発災直後から現在まで、避難所や仮設住宅等を訪問し、被災者の心に寄り添う演奏活動を行っています。

The Kumamoto Prefectural Police Band was launched in November 1952 and has been performing as a "bridge of music" connecting the citizens of the prefecture and the police.

Band members train or perform while doubling up as officers at the force's headquarters or police stations. The color guard, known as "Color Lillies," also appears in parades and flag performances, which has great reputation as "visualized music."

Activities include the annual Prefectural Citizens' Fureai Concert held at the Kumamoto Prefectural Theater, concerts at various police events plus community and traffic safety events held at schools, kindergartens and nursery schools. They also participate in a variety of prefectural, municipal, and regional events.

In the aftermath of the 2016 Kumamoto Earthquake and the July 2020 rain disaster, the band visited evacuation centers and temporary housing to give concerts that touch the hearts of the victims.
