宮城県警察音楽隊は、昭和２６年３月に創設されて以来、長きにわたり演奏活動を続けております。

　我々、音楽隊員は、普段、機動警ら隊員や機動捜査隊員、交通機動隊員として、パトカーや捜査用車両に乗務してパトロール等に従事する傍ら、交通安全運動・地域安全運動等の諸行事における演奏活動など、広報活動の要請がある場合は、パトカーのハンドルを楽器に持ち替え、演奏のほか、躍動美溢れるマーチングを披露するなど、音楽を通じ、多くの皆さんと身近に接しながら「県民と警察を結ぶ音のかけ橋」として活動しております。

　宮城県警察カラーガード隊は昭和５５年１０月に創設され、警察音楽隊と共に活動しながら、フラッグやポンポンなどを使った躍動感あふれる演技を披露するなど、視覚に訴える広報活動を行い、多くの皆さんから親しまれています。

The Miyagi Prefectural Police Band has long performed music since its founding in March 1951. The band is composed of members usually serving in the mobile patrol unit, the mobile investigation unit or the traffic mobile unit, who are busy patrolling in police cars or on motorcycles. Once called upon to perform at traffic or community safety events, they switch from steering wheels to playing instruments in order to play music or perform marches. Communicating with the public, their goal is to connect the citizens of Miyagi and the police.

The Miyagi Prefectural Police Color Guard

The Miyagi Prefectural Police Color Guard was formed in October 1970. The team works with the band to publicize police activities with flag or pom-pom performances, and has become popular among the local citizens.
